I tried using ACs, but even with good falloff you still have to chase stuff all over the place. I've found arties to be fastest, fast enough that it's quicker to ignore most loot and salvage (which ends up spread all over the place) and just grab ...

8x 1400mm already does too much volley damage for smaller ships. Maybe change from 2 groups of 4 to 4 groups of 2 to compensate for the extra volley and slower ROF... big deal. Then you can insta-pop 4 small guys on the first round instead of 2.
